Endgame Chess Academy Grand Prix Rules

We are excited to announce our Grand Prix Series! Players will compete across three upcoming tournaments for the Grand Prix Champion Jersey in each section, and all players can also participate in the Puzzle Master Jersey challenge.

Tournament Dates

• Sat, September 20, 2025 @ 9am

• Sat, October 11, 2025 @ 9am

• Sat, November 8, 2025 @ 9am

Tournament Sections

• K–3 Under 500

• K–8 Under 800

• K–12 Open

  
  

Each section will crown a Grand Prix Champion.

Tournament Points

• 1st Place: 10 points

• 2nd Place: 8 points

• 3rd Place: 6 points

• 4th Place: 4 points

• 5th Place: 2 points

• Participation (all other players): 1 point

  
  

Bonus: Any player with a perfect score (all wins) receives +2 bonus points.

Grand Prix Champion Jersey

Points are earned at each tournament. At the end of the series, the player with the highest total points in each section wins the Champion Jersey.

Puzzle Master Jersey

Alongside each tournament, players can compete in the Puzzle Contest.

• 1st place = 5 points

• 2nd place = 3 points

• 3rd place = 2 points

• Participation = 1 point

The student with the most accumulated puzzle points after all events earns the Puzzle Master Jersey.

Awards at Each Tournament

Trophies and medals for 1st–5th place in each section will be awarded at every tournament. All players earn points toward the Grand Prix standings.

Rules

1. Players must compete in at least two tournaments to be eligible for a Grand Prix Jersey.

2. In case of a tie, the winner will be decided by:

   • Head-to-head result (if applicable), then

   • Most tournaments played, then

   • A playoff blitz game (5 minutes each).

3. Puzzle Master is scored separately and open to all players across all sections.

Trophies & Medals: for top 5 finishers in each section at every tournament.
